According to recent reports, that’s what Boehner said to Obama this week. With only a week left, it is very difficult to imagine an agreement is in the offing that would avoid the drastic and indiscriminate cuts to our nation’s defense. But the “not knowing” is likely worse than any cuts that might happen. Since no one knows where the likely cuts might fall, everyone is keeping their powder dry and frozen. Layoffs, furloughs, hiring freezes, and other leadership guidance to stand in place have nearly brought the DoD to a standstill. It’s as if the anticipation of what’s to come is worse than what’s to come. What do you think?
