Certified Platinum Leaders

Platinum Leaders are recognized beyond their organizations as leaders in their industry or professional field. They take responsibility for inspiring individuals, influencing the course of events and moving multiple segments of society, including science, academia, not-for-profits, government, military services and business.

The Leadership Council - Platinum Leader

The Platinum Leadership Development Program is a facilitated and individualized learning and leadership experience for the C-Level executive.  The program focuses on the specifics of the individual Platinum Level candidate and his/her circumstances and situation.  The Platinum Leader will master organizational culture, change management, emotional intelligence through an individualized coaching program. The Platinum Leader transcends their industry or field and exercises leadership at the society level.

The Platinum candidate will learn the unique elements of leadership necessary to transcend a single organization in a single industry and lead other Gold leaders from different industries and /or segments of society.  Platinum candidates master leadership.  True leadership does not require the follower to depend upon the leader for something the follower wants.  Rather, true leadership is the ability to inspire others to pursue your vision because they have adopted the vision, agree with it, and want to achieve it too.  President Dwight D. Eisenhower  defined leadership as:  The art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he wants to do it.”

The “master leader” or Platinum leader’s impact is societal.  They may lead the general public or multiple organizations.  They will have transcended their industry or field of endeavor to the highest level of leadership – societal.

The Platinum level classes will discuss how culture has affected their organization and learn from the other Platinum level candidates in their class.

”If you do not manage culture, it manages you, and you may not even be aware of the extent to which this is happening.”  (Edgar Schein, professor MIT Sloan School of Management)

Attitudes and behaviors reflecting new and different social and organizational values will be mastered.  Learning to adjust to change will be difficult and managing change will present even greater challenges.  The program offers a process to create an environment in which people will be excited about meeting the established vision through a positive change management process and culture.

Truly effective leaders are distinguished by a high degree of emotional intelligence (EI), which includes self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management. Platinum level candidates will understand Emotional Intelligence, its components, its importance and  will be challenged to use EI concepts in organizational settings.

Platinum level candidates will sharpen existing planning skills, refine planning talents, and examine existing goals and path for achievement.  They will also create new skills in overcoming obstacles.

Each participant will experience an integrated set of personal assessments providing insights into thinking style, values and leadership styles.

15 weeks; 2-3 hrs/session

The Program is 15 weeks in length with weekly sessions of 2-3 hours. During the 15 weeks, each participant will have 4 individual one-on-one executive coaching sessions focusing on the issues confronting the Platinum Level candidate and those be/she leads. This process enables participants to “develop” since they will have time to apply the experience between sessions. Each session will end with specific goals and action steps to be accomplished by the next session. Each class will meet at least once for each of the three following quarters to discuss progress and challenges in achieving their individual and organizational goals. Ongoing sessions are optional for those wishing to continue with a professionally led peer advisory group.
